This is about as special as a rear drive can get. Not only is it from Dr. John Wittner's AMA Race bike, it was built by Dr. John with the same special factory tooling that I use to set up rear drives. The crown and pinion are a unique set of 6:32 gears with a 10 spline pinion which were never available to the public (all 6:32s were 20 spline), but were specially made for Dr. John. To top it off, the bracket for the anti-jacking torque arm was custom made for Dr. John by Marchenisi in magnesium. This drive is in as new condition. It is set up for use with an exposed driveshaft bike, but in minutes, with the removal of the magnesium bracket and the addition of four swingarm studs, could be mounted on any enclosed MG swingarm for disc brakes. This was the prototype for the exposed drive shaft street bikes like the Daytona and 1100 Sport which arrived in the 1990s.
If you have a built street motor capable of 8500 RPMs or more......or a race bike, this is the coolest rear drive you will ever see......and you will never see another like it.
