ATN9 Cage

Removed from a 3205 ATN9 bearing used in the gearbox housing for the input(clutch) shaft and in the end cover for the output(layshaft). The correct name for this type of cage is a polyamide 6.6. This type of cage material does not like heat, EP Additives, Synthetic Oil or gearbox swarf. A tech I spoke to at SKF was horrified to here they were spec'd by an OEM for a MC gearbox.
