1944 Indian 340B

As far as I know this is the only Plant Patrol bike in existance. Most would have been civilanized (skirted fenders at the least) after retiring from their patrol duties as returning vets had had quite enough of anything that appeared military. I've ridden many miles in New England with the Indian which is three ferries and a millon miles from the Hamptons on Eastern Long Island where I live. My most frequent passanger was my dog, Zydeco. It was her favorite thing in life.
