Italian Military V700 703cc Solo Seat

I imagine that the short frame mounted springs bottomed on large bumps, so Guzzi came up with these longer springs and designed a spring cup that lowered the base mounting point so that the height of the seat could remain unchanged. This also moved the seat back a couple inches and necessitated extender brackets at the front. Early examples used a side mounted spring (as seen here). The forth and most common version in the US, used straight wound springs and studs. I had an NOS set of the side mount springs, so had to buy this seat....right??
